I · The process
How does a batch work?
You measure a reagent and a collection flask, the lab engraves a formula and gives you a deposit address. Once the reagent arrives and the network confirms it, the athanor distills it and sends the result to your flask. Three stages, one batch number.
How long does a distillation take?
Usually 5 to 30 minutes, most of it waiting for network confirmations on the reagent's chain. Congestion can stretch it.
Do I need an account?
No. You get two things when a batch starts: the batch number, which lets anyone you share it with follow the batch, and the batch key, shown once, which is needed to change its addresses or cancel it. Keep both; lost the number? Support can find a batch from the deposit transaction hash.
II · Formulas and fees
Is the formula really fixed?
The expected output is engraved when you seal the batch and holds until the order expiry shown on the deposit page. A reagent that arrives after expiry is handled by the lab: distilled at the current formula or returned, and you are told which.
What does the lab charge?
A flat lab fee, already included in the formula you see. Network fees for delivering the distillate are included too; the only cost not covered is the fee your own wallet charges to send the reagent.
III · Doses and limits
Why is there a minimum dose?
Below it, network fees would eat the distillate. The minimum is quoted in USD and shown before you seal; a dose below it pauses the batch until you top up or ask for a return.
Which networks are supported?
Only the network named on the deposit screen. Tokens sent on another chain cannot be seen by the athanor; some can be recovered by hand, many cannot. When in doubt, send a small test dose first.
IV · Refunds and mistakes
I sent the wrong amount.
A dose above the minimum is simply distilled at the new amount. Below it, you can top up at the same address, continue on what arrived, or ask for a return to your refund flask.
Can I cancel a batch?
Until the reagent is poured, you can simply let the order expire. Once a deposit is detected the distillation starts and cannot be reversed.
V · Privacy
What does the lab keep about me?
Only what the batch needs while it runs: the addresses you gave, amounts, transaction hashes. Thirty days after it settles (two days for an order that never received anything), every address and hash is wiped and only anonymous figures remain. No account, no name, no IP log, no analytics. An email only if you ask for one. Details in the privacy notice.
